Excel Add-in

The FinFacts Excel add-in is planned for a future release. It is not currently bundled with desktop installers.

System Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 (1903+) or macOS 10.15+
  • RAM: 4GB (8GB recommended)
  • Storage: 500MB free space
  • Excel: Optional; add-in support is planned
  • Network: Internet connection for license activation
  • OS: Windows 11 or macOS 12+
  • RAM: 8GB or more
  • Storage: 1GB+ free space (for data files)
  • Excel: Optional; planned for add-in workflows
  • Display: 1920×1080 or higher resolution

Installation Guide

Windows Installation

  1. Download the Windows installer (.msi file)
  2. Run the installer with administrator privileges
  3. Follow the setup wizard instructions
  4. Launch FinFacts from the Start menu
  5. License requirement: optional through 2027-12-31 UTC, required from 2028-01-01 UTC

macOS Installation

  1. Download the macOS disk image (.dmg file)
  2. Open the downloaded .dmg file
  3. Drag FinFacts to your Applications folder
  4. Launch FinFacts from Applications or Launchpad
  5. Allow the application when macOS security prompts appear
  6. License requirement: optional through 2027-12-31 UTC, required from 2028-01-01 UTC

Excel Add-in Setup

The Excel add-in workflow is planned but not yet released in the current desktop build.

License Activation

Desktop startup license policy:

  • Through 2027-12-31 UTC: full access without license upload
  • From 2028-01-01 00:00:00 UTC: license required at startup
  1. Launch FinFacts
  2. Click "Activate License"
  3. Enter your license key or log in with your account
  4. Activation completes automatically

Offline Activation

For environments without internet access:

  1. Note the machine ID shown in FinFacts
  2. Visit our offline activation portal
  3. Generate an offline activation file
  4. Import the activation file in FinFacts
