Excel Add-in¶
The FinFacts Excel add-in is included with all desktop installations and provides seamless integration with Microsoft Excel.

Installation¶
The Excel add-in is automatically installed with the desktop application. Simply:
- Install FinFacts desktop application
- Open Excel and look for the FinFacts ribbon
- Follow the one-time setup wizard
- Start processing your data!

- OS: Windows 10 (1903+) or macOS 10.15+
- RAM: 4GB (8GB recommended)
- Storage: 500MB free space
- Excel: Excel 2016 or later
- Network: Internet connection for license activation
Recommended Specifications¶
- OS: Windows 11 or macOS 12+
- RAM: 8GB or more
- Storage: 1GB+ free space (for data files)
- Excel: Excel 365 or Excel 2021
- Display: 1920×1080 or higher resolution
Installation Guide¶
Windows Installation¶
- Download the Windows installer (.msi file)
- Run the installer with administrator privileges
- Follow the setup wizard instructions
- Launch FinFacts from the Start menu
- Activate your license during first run
macOS Installation¶
- Download the macOS disk image (.dmg file)
- Open the downloaded .dmg file
- Drag FinFacts to your Applications folder
- Launch FinFacts from Applications or Launchpad
- Allow the application when macOS security prompts appear
- Activate your license during first run
Excel Add-in Setup¶
The Excel add-in is automatically configured during desktop installation. If you need to manually install or troubleshoot:
- Open Excel
- Go to Insert → Add-ins → Get Add-ins
- Search for "FinFacts" or load from file
- Follow the authentication flow
- The FinFacts ribbon should appear
License Activation¶
Online Activation (Recommended)¶
- Launch FinFacts
- Click "Activate License"
- Enter your license key or log in with your account
- Activation completes automatically
Offline Activation¶
For environments without internet access:
- Note the machine ID shown in FinFacts
- Visit our offline activation portal
- Generate an offline activation file
- Import the activation file in FinFacts
